Japan’s jobless rate unchanged at 2.8% in Sept

TOKYO (Reuters – Japan’s September jobless rate is at 2.8%, but the available employment increased by 1% from the month before, data released Friday by government.

According to internal ministry data, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was equal to the market median forecast.

According to the Labour ministry, the jobs-to-applicants ratio increased from 1.14 last month. In a Reuters poll, economists predicted 1.14.
