Investing.com Xcel Energy (NASDAQ: ) On Thursday, the third quarter ended with revenue surpassing expectations. Analysts’ estimates were not fulfilled.

Xcel Energy posted earnings per share (EPS) of $1.13 on revenues of $3.47B. Investing.com polled analyst to predict EPS of $1.18 based on $3.41B revenue.

Xcel Energy shares have fallen 4% since the start of the year. However, they are still 16.95% below their 52-week high of $76.33, which was set on November 9, 2020. The shares are performing below their peers, which has risen 21.03% since the start of 2019.

Xcel Energy is following other Utilities industry earnings this month

Xcel Energy’s latest report comes after NextEra Energy reported EPS at $0.75 for revenues of $4.37B on October 20, compared with forecasts EPS at $0.716 for $5.44B.

Kinder Morgan missed its October 20 expectations with a third quarter EPS at $0.22 per unit on $3.82B in revenue. This compares to the $0.237 forecast on revenue of 3.26B for EPS at $0.237.
