REUTERS/Tom Brenner TPX IMAGES OF WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – The Federal Transit Administration (FTA), Friday announced that it has asked U.S. agencies to inspect the rail car wheels following an Oct. 12 train derailment in Washington.
FTA reported that the agency had asked state safety authorities to notify all out-of–tolerance gauges.
