Real estate heir Robert Durst indicted in 1982 murder of first wife Kathie Durst -Breaking

(Reuters) – Robert Durst – A real estate heir was Monday charged with the January 1982 murder of Kathleen Durst in South Salem. The office of New York’s Westchester County district attorney stated.

Indictment of Durst, 78 was filed by the Westchester County Grand Jury on Nov. 1, 2021. It included Murder in Second Degree. Durst was previously charged with Murder in The Second Degree in an Oct. 19th 2021 complaint,” stated the Westchester County District attorney in a statement.

The statement also stated that Robert Durst has been arrested for murdering Kathleen Durst.

Robert Durst has been charged in New York with murder for the disappearance in 1982 of his wife. He was also sentenced to life imprisonment in California for the murder of his friend, in 2000.

Media reports stated that Durst was released from hospital last week and transferred to the state prison medical unit. This happened less than two weeks after he had been on a ventilator using COVID-19.
