Amgen Earnings, Revenue Beat in Q3 -Breaking

Amgen (NASDAQ 🙂 announced Tuesday that the third quarter beat analyst forecasts with revenue surpassing expectations.

Amgen posted earnings per share (EPS) of $4.67 on $6.71B in revenue. Investing.com polled analysts and predicted an EPS of 4.27 for $6.67B in revenue.

Amgen shares have fallen 6% since the start of the year. However, they are still 22.53% below their 52-week high of $276.69 on January 28. These shares are outperforming Nasdaq, which has risen 21.43% since the beginning of the year.

Amgen is following other top Healthcare industry earnings this month

Amgen’s report follows an earnings beat by Merck&Co on Thursday, who reported EPS of $1.75 on revenue of $13.15B, compared to forecasts EPS of $1.55 on revenue of $12.32B.

Hoya Corp beat all expectations with a third quarter EPS at $1.03 on $1.43B in revenue, as compared to EPS forecasted for $0.9742 on $1.42B revenue.
