Investing.com — U.S. stock market opened mixed Tuesday morning as investors marked their time before the Federal Reserve’s two day meeting, which begins later. 

The Fed is expected to begin to reduce its monthly bond purchases of $120 billion, as a result of the economic progress this year and growing anxiety about an increase in inflation.
