WASHINGTON (Reuters), – U.S. president Joe Biden declared Wednesday, in reaction to Virginia’s Democratic election defeat that “people were upset and uncertain about a lot many things” and that he plans on pursuing his legislative agenda.

Biden said that he spoke to Terry McAuliffe about his concerns. McAuliffe was a Democrat who lost the Virginia governor race to Republican Glenn Youngkin. Biden said that “I know people want us get things done,” and that this was why he would “push very hard for” his agenda.
