Merck KGaA lifts FY guidance on surging demand for lab supplies -Breaking

FRANKFURT (Reuters – Germany’s Merck KGaA lifted its full year profit forecast on Wednesday, citing a strong performance in its Life Science unit. This supplies gear and materials to COVID-19 manufacturers and other pharmaceutical companies.

Unscheduled statements were made by the diversified group. They stated that 2021 earnings before interest taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) will be 6 billion to 6.33 billion Euros ($7.4 billion to $7.3 Billion). This is an increase of 5.2billion in 2020.

It had previously targeted 5.6 billion to 6 billion euros.
