(Reuters) – A woman from America was deported from Indonesia for the role she played in the 2014 murder of her mother. She was sentenced to a term in prison.

Heather Mack, 26 years old, conspired and her boyfriend killed her mother Sheila Von Wiese -Mack. She loaded her body into a suitcase then loaded it into a taxi on a trip to Bali.

Mack had been scheduled to appear before the U.S. District Court, Chicago on Wednesday.

Mack, along with Tommy Schaefer (28) were arrested in Indonesia by authorities following the August 2014 shooting. After the August 2014 killing, Mack was arrested by Indonesian authorities. Mack at 19 received a 10-year sentence as an accessory to murder. Schaefer was sentenced to 18 years in 2015.

The 2017 U.S. Grand Jury Indictment was released on Wednesday. It alleged that Mack & Schaefer had a plan to murder Von Wiese–Mack just before leaving the United States. Schaefer also asked Ryan Bibbs about possible ways of doing this.

Mack asked Bibbs if he knew of anyone who would murder her mother to make a buck. He pleaded guilty to the conspiracy to commit foreign killing of a U.S. citizen in December 2016, according to the Justice Department.

Mack, who was charged with two counts of conspiracy to murder and one count of obstruction in the United States of America, faces a maximum penalty of life imprisonment for being convicted.

An Indonesian immigration official stated that Mack was released from jail on Oct. 29, after which her permit expired. Schaefer is still in prison.

Yulius Benyamin Seran, Mack’s attorney, stated that Mack was accompanying her on her flight to Chicago with her daughter. She had just given birth to Mack before she was sentenced.
