American Airlines delays vaccine mandate until January next year -Breaking

(Reuters] – American Airlines (NASDAQ 🙂 Group Inc delayed rolling out a mandate that required its U.S.-based workers to be vaccinated for the coronavirus to Jan. 4. Chief Executive Doug Parker stated this in a letter sent to employees Thursday.

It comes after President Biden moved the deadline to get immunized for U.S. large companies up from Dec. 8th to Jan. 4.

Southwest Airlines (NYSE 🙂 also stated that it is reviewing revised guidance issued by the administration.

Biden revealed plans to fulfill the mandate in September. These included increasing vaccination rates in light of a dangerous increase in COVID-19-related cases, and getting more people back into work.
