REUTERS/ Massimo Pinca/File PhotoMILAN, Reuters – Italian American vehicle manufacturer CNH Industrial (NYSE ) issued a cautious statement about 2021 after almost doubling its operating profit in quarter three thanks to strong results from its agriculture business.
Iveco, the maker of agricultural machinery and construction equipment, stated that its revenues for 2021 were at the lower end compared to three months ago. This indicates a growth of 24-28%.
Scott Wine, Chief Executive of CNH, said that while the group had been able to manage an “increasingly complex supply chain situation” for the third quarter, “acute supplier problems” could limit CNH’s performance in the fourth quarter.
Milan-listed CNH Industrial shares lost 2.2% after the results, and they were listed on Milan.
CNH slightly reduced Thursday’s free cash flow forecast for 2014 to approximately $1.0billion, although it had previously stated that this would surpass the figure.
The group’s adjusted earnings prior to interest and taxes (EBIT), of industrial activities, rose from $238 million to $469 millions in the previous year. This was more than the $437 million predicted by Reuters analysts.
