Expedia Earnings, Revenue Beat in Q3 -Breaking

Investing.com Expedia (NASDAQ:) Thursday’s third quarter report showed revenue exceeding expectations and beating analysts’ predictions.

Expedia posted earnings per share (EPS) of $3.56 on revenues of $2.96B. Investing.com polled analyst to predict EPS of $1.68 based on $2.72B in revenue.

Expedia shares have risen 18.98% since the start of the year. However, they are still 16.16% below the 52-week high of $187.90 on March 18. They are under-performing the S&P 500 which is up 24.62% from the start of the year.

After-hours trading saw Expedia share prices rise by 5.66% following the report.

The Expedia Group follows the other big earnings from the Service sector this month

Expedia’s earnings report comes after Amazon.com missed its October 28 earnings. They reported an EPS of $6.12 for revenue $110.81B. Forecasts were for EPS $8.9 for revenue $111.55B.

Visa A exceeded expectations by beating all forecasts on October 26, with fourth-quarter EPS at $1.62 on revenue $6.56B. That compares to $1.55 per cent on revenue $6.52B.
