© Reuters. Investing.com — Nvidia Corporation (NASDAQ:) stock soared 17% Thursday trading in anticipation of a product role out at a conference next week.
Mid-afternoon, the stock traded at $311.77. Investors are excited about the prospects for the metaverse, and how the chipmaker will play a role.
Nvidia has seen recent gains and the closing price of its shares closed higher six days running.
Aaron Rakers from Wells Fargo has provided insightful commentary which influenced today’s rise.
Analyst Rakers increased the price target for Nvidia stock from $245 to $305, while maintaining an overweight rating. Rakers stated that the reason for Rakers’ PT increase is Nvidia’s Omniverse Enterprise platform being launched at next week’s GPU Technology Conference.
Nvidia’s Omniverse platform is described as an “end-to-end collaboration tool and simulation platform that transforms complicated design workflows.”
Rakers is certain that the platform’s launch will be an important highlight of the conference.
BoA offered a similar opinion on the 29th October after it reiterated its Nvidia buy rating. BoA analyst Vivek Arya claimed that the company will benefit from Facebook’s expansion into the metaverse.
