BOSTON, (Reuters) – Former Boston mill owner Aaron Feuerstein has passed away at 95. This was his son Daniel Feuerstein reported on Thursday. Feuerstein gained notoriety for paying idle workers after a Boston fire in 1995.
Feuerstein was a national celebrity for his continued payment of 1,400 workers who were displaced from Malden Mills, a Lawrence factory known for Polartec fleece fabric. His son reported that he died from complications following a fall last week.
