Odd Andersen/Pool MADRID, Reuters – Although the reasons for the Euro zone’s inflation are temporary, it is expected that the level of the decline will slow down next year. Luis de Guindos (Vice President European Central Bank) stated on Friday.
He said that although inflation will slow next year, the pace of fall was not as intense as we had expected.
Last month’s inflation was above 4%, which is more than double the ECB target of 2%. It will continue to rise in the months ahead due to rising energy prices and higher shipping costs, as well as some tax increases.
