Japanese carmakers’ Chinese sales tumble in October -Breaking

BEIJING (Reuters) – Japanese carmakers Honda Motor Co., Nissan (OTC) Motor Co. Toyota Motor (NYSE) Corp saw its sales fall in China in October after a shortage in microchips hampered production of vehicles in China’s largest market.
Honda claimed that they sold 148,377 Chinese vehicles last month. That is an 18% decrease from the previous year, while Nissan reported it had sold 113,876 cars. That is 22% less.
Toyota claimed that 142,000 cars were sold in China by Toyota last month. That’s a decline of 19%.
