FRANKFURT, (Reuters) – The Porsche and Piech family, Volkswagen SE’s biggest shareholder (DE:), continue to support Herbert Diess, a Porsche SE spokesperson said Friday.

“The Families continue to support Mr. Diess.” The spokesperson stated that there has not been any change in their positions.

This comment comes after Diess’s relationship to German labour representatives reached a new low with disagreements over how radical Europe’s top-carmaker’s overhaul must be in order for it to become an electric car leader.
