SHANGHAI (Reuters – China’s state news agency Xinhua praised President Xi Jinping for being a tireless selfless, scholarly and dedicated servant of people ahead of a critical meeting of China’s ruling Communist Party which will likely cement his authority.
Xi was described as “a man with determination and action; a man with profound thoughts and emotions, a man that inherited a heritage and dares innovate and a forward-looking vision who is dedicated to tireless work.” Xinhua stated.
The Central Committee of the party, which has 300 members, meets Monday through Thursday. This will allow Xi to be elected to a third consecutive five-year term at the 20th Party Congress in 2012.
It is also expected to discuss and ratify a “historical resolution https://www.reuters.com/world/china/chinas-xi-cement-authority-legacy-communist-party-resolution-2021-11-02” focusing on “the important achievements and historical experiences of the Party’s 100 years of struggle”.
Xinhua’s headline, “Xi Jinping the man who leads CPC [Communist Party of China] on new voyage”, portrayed President Obama as a man that has “little time for him”, but for whom happiness is only possible through hard work.
This article is more than 5000 words in English translation and features praises from both foreign media as also domestic academics.
