(Reuters). James Bullard of St. Louis Federal Reserve Bank stated Monday that he anticipates the Fed raising interest rates twice by 2022, after wrapping up its bond-buying taper. But he also said the Fed could still end the taper in the initial quarter.

Bullard spoke on Fox Business Network, saying that “if inflation persists more than we think right now,” he said. Bullard said that “we’ve done much to move the policy into a more conservative direction”, noting that the Fed began its taper sooner than anticipated and intends to continue it quicker than originally thought six months back.
