Japan coincident indicator index falls for 3rd month in September -Breaking

The move was a sharp cut in the government’s view of economic conditions, which it said Monday.
According to the Cabinet Office, this was the third consecutive month in decline for the index that measures current economic conditions. It is based on data such as factory output and employment.
In the first downgrade to this index since August 2019, it was lower than before.
In September, the index of top economic indicators which is used to forecast the future direction of the economy, fell 1.6 points to 99.7.
