(Reuters] Robinhood Markets Inc stated Monday that a third party gained access to about five million customer email addresses.

A fee-free broker stated that the breaches also included the identities of two million more people. However, 310 other people’s personal information was compromised, which includes their names and birth dates as well as zip codes.

Robinhood (NASDAQ) stated that it believes no bank account numbers or social security numbers have been exposed by the hackers and that no customer has suffered any financial losses as a result. The incident occurred on Nov.

In a blog posting, the company claimed that an unauthorized party “socially engineered” a customer service employee and had access to customer support systems. The third party demanded a extortion payment.

In extended trading, the company’s stock fell by about 3%
