Tesla sold 54,391 China-made vehicles in October

BEIJING (Reuters) – U.S. manufacturer of electric vehicles Tesla (NASDAQ) Inc sold 54 391 Chinese-made vehicles last October, with 40 666 being exported, according to the China Passenger Car Association.

Tesla is producing Model 3 sedans in Shanghai and Model Y sports-utility cars in Shanghai. In September, 56,006 Chinese-made Tesla vehicles were sold, with 3,853 of these vehicles exported.

Chinese EV manufacturers Nio (NYSE.) Inc sold 3,667 vehicles last month, while Xpeng(NYSE.:) Inc delivered 10,138 vehicles. Volkswagen AG (OTC-:) stated that 12,000 ID were sold. series EVs were sold in China during October.

According to CPCA passenger car sales fell 14% from a previous year in China, reaching 1.74 Million in October.
