Airbnb launches translation tool as cross-border travel picks up -Breaking

This is in response to COVID-19 restrictions that sends more people to the home-rental app.
Airbnb will capitalize further on a pandemic-driven shift towards alternative accommodation and non-urban places, thanks to these features.
Airbnb claims that over 100,000 customers have rented Airbnb’s rentals in recent years for at least three consecutive months.
The “AirCover Insurance” will provide protection against pet damages as pet-friendly listings are flooded worldwide.
It will translate listings descriptions and reviews into 60 languages. The translation engine is due to be launched later in the year to help it capitalize on cross-border travel’s resurgence.
After months of waiting, a significant spike in travel to the United States was seen on Monday as America lifted its pandemic-driven travel restrictions.
Overall cross-border travel has risen steadily to 33% of gross nights booked in the third quarter, compared with 27% in the second and 20% in the first quarter, Airbnb said.
According to Airbnb, the three top places to travel inbound to the United States are Los Angeles (according to Airbnb), Miami (according to Airbnb), and New York (according to Airbnb).
