Digital Mango Joins Tezos Ecosystem As A Corporate Baker

Digital Mango is a consulting firm that helps to democratise investment in solar photovoltaics. Today it officially announced its expansion of Tezos involvement by becoming a corporate bakery. Digital Mango officially became a baker. This will allow it to validate transaction blocks and then add them the Tezos blockchain.

As a baker, Digital Mango will have different roles to play in Tezos governance: in addition to validating the transactions, it will be at the core of the protocol’s evolution by having voting rights proportional to the sum of the tez (Tezos tokens) it stakes and those which are delegated to it.

Digital Mango is responsible for planning and designing commercial- and/or community-scale photovoltaic project designs. They will rely on unique crowdfunding models that use blockchain technology to fund them.

Jim Dowling is a Digital Mango representative.

Tezos was the perfect platform to become a corporate bakery. It is fully functional smart contract-enabled and compatible with our goals and values. In addition to this we were drawn to Tezos because of its forkless nature which makes it perfect for issuing security tokens.”
Tezos is an open source platform which addresses major barriers to adoption of blockchain assets and applications. The platform has been supported by a global network of researchers, validators and builders. Digital Mango has launched delegation services for Tezos, and is looking to be a proactive participant in the Tezos community.

Digital Mango created its first Tezos block in October. Digital artist Kevin Ufarte was commissioned by the company to design a non-fungible digital token (NFT) in celebration. The Kalamint platform has allowed him to mint 31 copies of an original image. It captures all the key elements that make up digital mango.

Each of the five next delegates at the Digital Mango bakery who sign up for our newsletter will also win an exclusive piece.

Thibaut Chessé, Adoption Manager in France at Nomadic Labs, commented:

“We are particularly delighted to welcome Digital Mango as a corporate baker to the Tezos ecosystem; Diversifying our corporate baker network with non crypto-native participants is an essential step for Tezos to bridge with the real economy.”
