WASHINGTON (Reuters] – U.S. Treasury Secret Janet Yellen reiterated Tuesday her belief that Congress must pass a deal to limit U.S. debt on a bipartisan foundation and that Republicans and Democrats should understand the potential consequences of U.S. default.

Yellen answered a question on National Public Radio’s Marketplace show if she supports Democrats passing a debt limit that does not require Republican votes. Both Republicans and Democrats need to do this, I believe. This is a chore that can be considered a housekeeping task.
