WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – The White House sharply criticized Republicans Tuesday for delaying a vote regarding President Joe Biden’s nomination to be the deputy administrator of Small Business Administration Dilawar Singh.

Republicans have held up a vote on Syed due to the nominee’s association with an advocacy group that has been critical of Israel.

Karine Jean-Pierre, White House deputy press secretary, stated that “We ask these Republican senators do their jobs and show up to allow a vote for this qualified nominee.”
