© Reuters. India stock prices lower after close of trade. Nifty 50 is down 0.1%Investing.com – India stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
The index fell 0.1% at the NSE close, and the index dropped 0.3%.
UPL Ltd., which gained 3.34% (or 24.95 points) to close at 771.30. In the meantime Bharti Airtel Ltd. (NS) was up 3.12%, or 22.25 point to reach 735.45 Mahindra & Mahindra Late trade saw Ltd. (NS) rise 3.08%, or 27.50 point to 919.65
They were also the worst performers of the session. IndusInd Bank Ltd. (NS): fell 3.37%, or 36.05 point to trade at 1032.20 by the close. Hindalco Industries Ltd. (NS) fell 3.20%, or 14.85 points, to reach 449.75 Tata Steel Ltd (NS.:) dropped 2.80% to 1298.55, or 37.40 percent.
The top performers on the BSE Sensex 30 were Bharti Airtel Ltd (BO:) which rose 3.16% to 735.70, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (BO:) which was up 3.00% to settle at 919.65 and Reliance Industries Ltd (BO:) which gained 1.16% to close at 2549.40.
IndusInd Bank Ltd., (BO) was the worst performer. It fell 3.38% to 1032.25 late trade. Tata Steel Ltd. (BO) lost 2.77% and settled at 1298.55. Hindustan Unilever Ltd. was at 1.23%.
The India National Stock Exchange saw falling stocks surpass advancing stock by 888 to 854, 52 ending unchanged and 52 ending unchanged. On the Bombay Stock Exchange however, 1672 rose while 1549 decreased, while 143 ended unchanged.
Bharti Airtel Ltd. shares (NS:), rose to record highs. They increased 3.12%, or 22.25 to 755.45. Bharti Airtel Ltd. (BO:), shares rose to new heights, up 3.16% or 22,55 to 735.70.
The implied volatility index of Nifty 50 options was up by 1.89% to 16.3050.
Dec delivery gold futures fell by 0.2% or 4.20 percent to $1826.60 an troy ounce. Other commodities traded included Crude oil, which fell 0.51 percent to reach $83.64/barrel, and January Brent oil, which fell 0.22 percent to trade at $84.56/barrel.
USD/INR increased 0.28%, to 74.377. EUR/INR rose 0.8% to 86.1285.
US Dollar Index Futures were up 0.5% at 94.093.
