‘Rust’ armorer being framed over fatal shooting, lawyer says -Breaking

LOS ANGELES (Reuters), – An attorney for the woman responsible for weapons at the movie “Rust” on Wednesday claimed that he believes someone purposefully put a live round into the gun which fatally wounded a cinematographer.
The Santa Fe District Attorney stated that there is no evidence of sabotage regarding the weapon Alec Baldwin used in the last month’s shooting.
Mary Carmack – Altwies, the District Attorney, stated to Good Morning America that they still don’t know how live rounds got to the October “Rust” and that it could take many months for the probe to be completed.
She said, “How they got there I believe will be one the most important factors going into charging decisions.”

“I have heard that defense attorneys may have invented conspiracy theories. I know this because they have used the phrase sabotage. Carmack-Altwies claimed that there is no proof.
When asked if she believed sabotage could be a possibility she replied “No.”
Halyna Hutchins the cinematographer was killed in an accident on Oct. 21. Joel Souza, the director was injured when Baldwin’s gun fired a live shot. On the set were also found other live rounds.
Jason Bowles was the Gutierrez lawyer and he stated Wednesday that he was certain that it was sabotage, Gutierrez was being framed.
Bowles stated in a statement that “we believe the scene was tampered before the police arrived.” Bowles stated that Gutierrez is continuing to cooperate with the investigation.
Carmack-Altwies indicated that local sheriff’s departments were still conducting an investigation and that there was no likelihood of any charges being brought against her.
According to the producers of the movie, they have begun an investigation into what happened during the incident.
