Tesla was traveling at high speed before fatal Florida crash -NTSB -Breaking

WASHINGTON (Reuters] – A preliminary assessment by the National Transportation Safety Board revealed that a Tesla Model 3 in a fatal September 13th crash in Coral Gables, Florida was traveling at a very high rate of speed when it collided into two trees and set fire.

A crash on a residential street was at a speed of 30 MPH. The driver, aged 20, and the passenger, age 19, were both killed in the accident.

According to the NTSB, it was able to recover about five seconds of data pre-crash from vehicle’s EDR (event data recorder). According to preliminary analysis of the data, “the vehicle’s maximum speed was 90 miles per hour.”
