U.S. sues Uber over alleged discrimination against disabled -Breaking

WASHINGTON (Reuters) — The U.S. Justice Department filed suit against Uber Technologies (NYSE 🙂 Inc on Wednesday for allegedly overcharging disabled people. It asked a federal judge to order Uber Technologies to adhere to disability laws and pay a civil fine.
Uber must also amend its waiting time fee policy so that it complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The court will also have to award monetary damages to anyone who has been subject to unconstitutional wait time fees.
The company representatives could not reach us immediately for comment.
