WASHINGTON (Reuters), – U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai stated Wednesday that the World Trade Organization can no longer return to its previous status quo. She said it needs an “infusion of energy and dynamism” to overhaul its rules in order to adapt to a changing world economy.
Tai stated to reporters that the United States would never return to the WTO dispute resolution system. She said the system must be used to resolve trade disputes, not to prolong them for years.
