Germany stocks mixed at close of trade; DAX up 0.09% -Breaking

Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

Frankfurt closed with the index rising 0.09%, hitting a new high. The index fell 0.03% and gained 0.27%.

They were the top performers at the session Siemens AG Class N (DE) saw a 2.92% increase or 4.28 points, to close at 151.08. In the meantime, Deutsche Post AG NA O.N. (DE) gained 1.88% or 1.40 points to 56.500, and Infineon Technologies AG O.N. In late trade, (DE) saw an increase of 1.86% and 0.765 points at 41.930.

These were the worst performers of the session. Siemens Energy AG (DE:), fell 4.68% (or 1.19 points) to trade at 24,26 at the closing. Continental AG O.N. The DE: declined 3.45% or 3.55 points to close at 103.88. MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (DE:), fell 2.22% to 200.70, or 4.55 point.

These were the top performers on MDAX Lanxess AG (DE) rose 3.0% to 56.430. Carl Zeiss Meditec AG was up 2.53% and settled at 180.250. Aixtron SE (DE) closed at 20.920 after closing with 2.02%.

The worst performers were K&S AG (DE:) which was down 5.49% to 14.460 in late trade, Bechtle AG (DE:) which lost 4.28% to settle at 65.680 and Deutsche Lufthansa AG (DE:) which was down 4.01% to 6.726 at the close.

Aixtron SE (DE) rose 2.02% to close at 20.920, Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (+2.53%) and Cancom SE O.N. (DE:), which gained 1.95% and closed at 61.660.

Bechtle AG, DE: was the worst performer with a drop of 4.28% and 65.680 respectively in late-trade. Morphosys AG O.N. (DE:), which dropped 2.64% and settled at 37.415 Nordex SE O.N. (DE:), which fell 1.14% at 14.690 by the end.

By 347 to 318, rising stocks outnumbered those on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, while 33 ended unaffected.

Siemens AG Class N (DE) shares rose to their highest levels, increasing 2.92% and 4.28 respectively to 151.08. Morphosys AG O.N. shares fell to their highest level in five years. (DE): Shares in Morphosys O.N. declined to 5 year lows. It fell 2.64%, or 1.015, to 37.415.

The, which tracks the implied volatility of DAX Options, fell 0.55% to 16.34.

For December delivery, Gold Futures rose 0.79% to $1862.90 an ounce. Other commodities traded included Crude oil, which rose 0.44 or 0.54% to reach $81.78/barrel, and January Brent oil, which rose 0.38 or 0.46% to trade at $83.00/barrel.

EUR/USD dropped 0.09% from 1.1468 to 1.1468. EUR/GBP climbed 0.08% to 0.8568.

US Dollar Index Futures were up 0.2% at 95.032.
