Hello, ‘Twitter Crypto’—Twitter Launches New Dedicated Crypto Team- Twitter (NYSE:) introduces its first crypto-dedicated team called ‘Twitter Crypto’.
- Tess Rinearson expressed her appreciation for leading this project in a tweet.
- Traditional Twitter Investors respond differently.
Twitter is launching a new division solely dedicated to “all things blockchain and crypto at Twitter.” Called Twitter Crypto, the team will mainly focus on developing solutions for crypto, decentralized applications (DApps), and decentralized finance (DeFi) with Tess Rinearson as the engineering lead.
Rinearson worked previously with Chain.com and Cosmos before joining Twitter. Rinearson spoke out in a thread about her enthusiasm and expectations for the project.
I’m thrilled to share that I’ve joined Twitter, to lead a new team focused on crypto, blockchains, and other decentralized technologies—including and going beyond cryptocurrencies. pic.twitter.com/HaP0k5hUOq

Her team will be focusing on blockchain and cryptocurrencies as well as other technologies that are not directly related to financial services. Their team also hopes to develop the Twitter tipping platform and proof-of-identity service using NFTs.
Twitter Crypto Team reports directly to Parag Agrawal, Chief Technology Officer (CTO). They provide full-service support in DApps, asset-ownership, community building, and other identity-oriented options.
This news may be exciting to some crypto investors, but it is not for them. In just two weeks, Twitter shares lost almost 25%. If the downward trend continues, $TWTR may fall to $50. Unless there is a rebound that brings the stock back in the $55-60 range.
Meanwhile, Twitter’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jack Dorsey, a vocal advocate of cryptocurrency, believes that blockchain technology can revolutionize the future of humanity. Twitter has become the favorite social network among crypto-lovers.
