Website creator Wix.com loss in Q3 less than expected -Breaking

However, it reported a larger third quarter loss on Thursday, but stated that the uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic had diminished.
“We noticed improvements in our business environment. Although our users continue to navigate uncertainty, the effects have diminished,” commented CEO Avishai Ibrahimi.
Israeli companies reported less than expected quarterly net losses, with no one-time expenses. They lost 21 cents per share compared to a loss of 14 cents the year before. The company’s revenue grew by 26%, to $321 millions.
Based on I/B/E/S data compiled by Refinitiv, analysts predicted Wix would lose 42c per share for revenue exceeding $315million.
Lior Shemesh, CFO stated that “outperformance in this quarter was driven primarily by new user additions better than anticipated, subscription conversions of new users and average subscription collections.”
Company said that it expected fourth-quarter revenues of between $324 million and $333 million.
The full-year revenue guidance was raised to $1.265-$1.274 billion, from $1.255-$1.270 trillion. However, the free cash flow estimate was lowered to $45-50 million from $60-$65 millions due to the stronger shekel against the dollar. This has been a “more significant headwind for our operating expenses.”
