Biden says U.S. will deepen economic ties with APEC -Breaking

WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – U.S. President Joe Biden pledged Friday to strengthen U.S. ties to Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation countries (APEC), including advancing fair trade and investment in the region. He also called for action to protect the environment and improve global health.

Biden stated that he had reaffirmed his interest in being a reliable and strong partner for APEC countries as we seek sustained, inclusive growth. He also “discussed methods to unleash the regional economic power and deepen U.S. engagement throughout the Indo-Pacific,” in a White House statement after his comments to the APEC leaders.
