India stocks higher at close of trade; Nifty 50 up 1.28% -Breaking

Investing.com – India stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

NSE added 1.28% at the closing, and index gained 1.28%.

These were the best performers of the session Tech Mahindra Ltd (NS): traded at 1585.00 after the close by rising 4.14%, or 63.05 point. In the meantime Hindalco Industries Ltd. Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd (NSL:) traded up 2.8%, or 83.80 point to 2992.65 late trade.

They were also the session’s worst performers Bajaj Auto Ltd (NS), fell 3.06% to trade at 3635.05 at the close. Tata Steel Ltd (NS) fell 0.95%, or 12.35 points, to finish at 1287.25 Hero MotoCorp Ltd (NS: ) dropped 0.59% to 2685.00.

Tech Mahindra Ltd. (BO) rose 4.06% at 1585.05 and Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (BO) was up 2.99% at 2995.00. Infosys Ltd. (BO) gained 2.74% at close at 1780.00.

Bajaj Auto Ltd. (BO) was the worst performer, falling 3.04% at 3637.30 in trade late. Tata Steel Ltd. (BO) was also down at 0.93% and settled at 1286.90. AXIS Bank Ltd. was at 0.36% at 736.20.

India National Stock Exchange: Falling stocks outnumbered those advancing on 943 to 788. 63 was unchanged. Bombay Stock Exchange: 1625 fell, 1589 were advanced and 147 was unchanged.

Tech Mahindra Ltd. shares (NS) reached all-time highs. They gained 4.14%, or 63.05 to 1585.00. Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd. Ltd. (NS) shares rose to record highs with a gain of 2.88%, or 83.80, to 2992.65. Tech Mahindra Ltd. (BO:), shares rose to new heights, up 4.6% or 61.85 and 1585. Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (BO:), shares rose 2.99%, or 87.00 to 29955.00.

The index, which tracks the implied volatility for Nifty 50 options (or other stock options), was 6.94% lower at 15.2175. This is a new one-month low.

For December delivery, Gold Futures fell 0.76% to $1849.65 per troy-ounce. In commodities trading, crude oil fell 1.31 percent or $1849.65 to $80.28 per barrel. The January Brent oil contract dropped 1.30 or 1.08 and traded at $81.79 per barrel.

USD/INR increased 0.23% at 74.464 while EUR/INR increased 0.18% at 85.2240.

The US Dollar Index Futures were down by 0.00% at 95.172.
