U.S. weekly COVID-19 vaccinations hit highest in nearly six months -Breaking

(Reuters) – The United States has administered more than 9.5 Million doses of COVID-19 in seven days. This is the highest weekly total since the late May period, according to a White House official.
Cyrus Shahpar, the White House’s COVID-19 data director reported the information https://twitter.com/cyrusshahpar46/status/1459605466468610054 in a tweet. The total likely reflects the number of vaccines given to children aged 5-11 years, which were widely accessible this week.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that the United States had distributed 553,881,535 COVID-19 doses and 439,034,461 COVID-19 doses.
These numbers are higher than the 437 352,000 doses of vaccine the CDC reported had been delivered by Nov. 12, out of 551,000,705 total doses.
According to the agency, 226,1572,226 individuals had had at least one dose and 194,951,106 had had their entire vaccinations as of 6:06 a.m. ET on Saturday
The CDC tally also includes vaccines of two doses Moderna (NASDAQ:) and Pfizer/BioNTech,, as well as Johnson & Johnson (NYSE:)’s one-shot vaccine.
Around 28.6 Million people have had a booster dose. Pfizer (NYSE:), Moderna or Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 vaccine. Booster doses from Moderna and Johnson & Johnson were authorized by the U.S. health regulator on Oct. 20.
