FBI says hackers got no data after compromising email server -Breaking

(Reuters] – On Sunday, the FBI claimed that hackers had not accessed any personal data on their network. It was just a few days after hacking into an agency server to distribute thousands of fake email messages.

Agency said that it had fixed the software flaw which allowed the attack.

These fake emails came from an FBI-operated server. It was designed to send notifications to Law Enforcement Enterprise Portal (LEEP), which allows the FBI to interact with other agencies. The compromised server was not part of the FBI’s corporate email service, the FBI added https://
