AMC officially begins accepting cryptocurrencies for payment By BTC Peers

Officially, AMC accepts cryptocurrencies as payment

After months of anticipation, global cinema chain AMC Entertainment has started to accept (BTC),(ETH) and other altcoins in its stores.

Adam Aron (CEO of AMC) confirmed the news via Twitter (NYSE 🙂 this weekend.

Aron said that AMC customers are now able to purchase tickets with Bitcoin Cash and Ethereum. He said that Dogecoin would be the next integration.

BTC PEERS reported that the entertainment mogul had revealed previously its plans to begin accepting digital assets for purchase. The company also revealed that DOGE gift cards would now be available for purchase by consumers.

Aron did a Twitter poll to see if AMC would accept altcoins (SHIB), with dogs as the subject. It was very positive.

AMC will keep looking at SHIB as an option for payment. It was however not mentioned in the previous announcement by the CEO.
