(Reuters] – The Connecticut court ruled Alex Jones, a conspiracy theoryr, guilty of defamation in default. This was reported by the New York Times on Monday.

Jones was the founder of Infowars, a right-wing website. He claimed that the attack in Newtown in Connecticut in which twenty children were killed and six teachers were injured at school, Newtown, Connecticut, was orchestrated by mainstream media and gun control advocates.

Jones and Infowars were sued by several parents for defamation. Infowars’ headquarters is in Texas.

According to the New York Times, Jones was deemed guilty of default by a Connecticut Superior Court judge on Monday for refusing to hand over financial records and other documents required by courts.

It is a combination of three Texas previous decisions to give the Sandy Hook victims’ families four victories in the four Jones defamation cases.
