Investing.com — DISH Network Corporation (NASDAQ: and media company Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc (NASDAQ:) announced on Monday that they have reached a new, multi-year carriage agreement.

Sinclair shares rose over 2.2% Monday while DISH’s stock market price fell 0.9%.

Sinclair will keep 144 of its local stations in the U.S., which are located in 86 different markets. Sling TV will still have the Tennis Channel.

The two companies were at war over a new carriage arrangement. Short-term extensions were granted while negotiations continued.

Brian Neylon, president group of DISH TV, stated, “We are delighted to have achieved a multiyear agreement with Sinclair following months of negotiations.”

“Sinclair was a solid partner over the long-term. Both parties have worked hard to keep our customers at the forefront of their minds and avoid putting them in middle of negotiations. We reached an agreement after many extensions of contracts. It was fair for everyone, and especially the customers.
