FRANKFURT /Reuters – The euro area’s inflation will continue to fall due to rising energy prices and persisting supply chain bottlenecks. Christine Lagarde (European Central Bank) said this Monday.

She stated that although the length of supply restrictions is not certain, they will likely persist for many months and then gradually ease during 2022.”

Lagarde said that inflation will continue to moderate in the coming year. However, it may take longer for it to fall than initially expected.
