GE Aviation ready to look at acquisitions if make sense, CEO says -Breaking

DUBAI, (Reuters) – GE Aviation will consider acquisitions if required to add complementary technologies to shape the future of flying without having to wait for a plan to dissolve its parent. General Electric (NYSE:) Monday’s top executive of the company.

John Slattery (CEO, GE Aviation) stated that if the strategic goals are aligned and assuming there is a business case to support it, he was open to exploring opportunities.

He stated, “I want it to be clear that we have opportunities to become strategic in the marketplace today,” during a Dubai Airshow interview. He also said such opportunities are “probably deeper and wider in systems than they are in jet engines.”
