Tesla, Crowdstrike Fall Premarket; Boeing, Dollar Tree Rise -Breaking

  • Tesla (NASDAQ:) stock fell 2.5% after CEO Elon Musk sold more of the electric car manufacturer’s stock on Friday, bringing his total sales for the week to 6.4 million shares amounting to $6.9 billion.

  • ShellADRs rose 1.4% on the news that the energy company would streamline its share structure in order to create a single line and transfer its tax residence from the Netherlands to the U.K. This is to cut costs and boost shareholder returns.

  • Crowdstrike (NASDAQ:) stock fell 3.3% after Morgan Stanley initiated its coverage of the cybersecurity company with an ‘underweight’ rating, saying the stock is now too expensive. This stock is now trading at more than 50 times its annual sales trailing it by this point in the year.

  • Dollar Tree(NASDAQ:) Stock rose 6.1% as activist investor Mantle Ridge acquired a stake in the discount retailer worth at least $1.8 Billion. He wanted to encourage the company’s share price to rise. 

  • BoeingStock rose 3.2% on the NYSE after Emirates Aircraft announced a two-year order for two 777 Freighters. Saudi Arabian Airlines also stated that they were in discussions with Emirates for an order of wide-body aircraft. Airbus (OTC:) ADRs were flat but its local stock was up 1.7% after it announced an order for 255 narrow-body A321 aircraft at the same airshow in Dubai.

  • WeWork The stock of (NYSE:) rose 0.2% following a lower third quarter loss by the office-sharing company. This was due to a rise in office space demand, which drove membership. 

  • CyrusOne (NASDAQ:) stock rose 4.3% after the U.S. data center operator said it would be bought by KKR & Co (NYSE:) and Global Infrastructure Partners and turned into a private company, in a deal valued at about $15 billion, including debt.

  • Chevron (NYSE:) stock rose 0.5% after UBS upgraded its stance on the oil major to ‘buy’ from ‘neutral’, saying the current high oil prices are set to continue.

  • American TowerThe stock of (NYSE:) rose 0.3% following the purchase by CoreSite Realty, a provider of wireless communication infrastructure, for $7.51 Billion in cash. This transaction will allow CoreSite Realty to access a market that saw a surge in demand due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
