AMC To Accept Shiba Inu Shiba Inu in The Next Quarter

America’s largest movie theater chain, AMC, popular for accepting ticket payments in and , has revealed that it will add (SHIB) to its list of supported cryptocurrencies.

Adam Aron, CEO of AMC Entertainment, (NYSE:), held a poll to ask his followers if the theatre chain should start accepting SHIB. AMC should accept SHIB from 87.6% of the 153.100 people who responded to the poll.

On November 15th, AMC’s CEO announced that American-based crypto service provider Bitpay has agreed to support Shiba Inu (SHIB) at his request. He posted the following tweet:

Although Shiba Inu was initially seen as a meme-coin, the coin has grown to be one of digital’s most popular assets. Coinbase (NASDAQ), Gemini recently made the coin available for trading. It will also soon become available on Kraken. According to the tweet, however, the Shiba Army has to wait 60-120 days for their assets to be accepted by AMC.

  • AMC is increasing their acceptance of cryptocurrency, but AMC hinted at it. There is the possibility to launch their own cryptocurrency.

While his tweet implied that AMC Entertainment might accept cryptocurrency via Bitpay (which he did), the chain of movie theatres has added Paypal to its payment options. This is a sign that for the time being, AMC Entertainment customers cannot transfer coins to Paypal.

What You Need to Care About

AMC Entertainment will integrate Bitpay to make it a fully functional payment method. AMC Theatres may then be able to take more cryptocurrency payments.
