(Reuters) – Adobe (NASDAQ) Inc announced Thursday that it is partnering with San Francisco startup Bolt in order to offer one-click checkouts for Adobe’s ecommerce software.

Adobe was once known for Photoshop but has now expanded into digital marketing tools and e-commerce for retailers.

It will enable merchants to use Adobe’s tools for one-click checkout, which is a competitive feature against Amazon.com (NASDAQ.). This will allow Adobe to compete against Shopify (NYSE:) Inc., which also offers a one-click checkout feature called Shop Pay.

Adobe customers are now able to use Bolt’s 1-click integration into their checkout screens as part of the agreement. Bolt is a social network that has over 10 million shoppers. If it’s seen the shopper previously, Bolt can complete their payment details. This saves shoppers from having to abandon carts.

Bob Buch, Bolt’s chief business officer, stated that a pre-populated database can lead to a 60% increase in conversion rates.

Bolt may charge merchants fees if its network assists them in making a sale. However, Bolt said that Adobe is still working with Bolt on financial details.

Adobe recently also announced that it would offer merchant payment-processing services. However, Justin Merickel (Vice President for Business Development at Adobe) said that merchants do not need to use Adobe’s payment processing for Bolt tools.

Jordan Jewell is IDC’s research director for digital commerce. He said that the agreement was the latest in a series of Adobe partnerships. These include a deal with FedEx Corp. (NYSE:). The deal is designed to help merchants compete against Amazon.

“For Adobe, it’s about emulating what Amazon is doing and what Shopify is doing as well,” Jewell said.
