WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – The U.S. President Joe Biden’s sweeping domestic spending bill of $1.75 trillion does not generate enough revenue to pay its expenses, a neutral arbiter stated on Thursday. This finding could undermine moderate Democrats’ faith and put at risk passage.

The Congressional Budget Office is charged with assessing legislation’s cost. They found that “Build back Better”, which was intended to increase U.S. Social Safety Net and combat climate change would result in a $367 billion federal deficit over the next ten-years.
