TOKYO, Reuters – Japan’s top executive of the ruling party Toshimitsu Mtegi stated on Thursday that a budget increase of over 30 trillion yen (or $263 billion) would be a big message to markets.

Motegi is the secretary general for the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP). This comment comes before Friday’s government announcement about a new package of pandemic-relief stimuli.
