Legislators from both parties are opposing changes to the tax reporting rules of crypto brokers and for transactions above $10,000 that were passed in the Infrastructure Bill.

Representative Darren Soto, a U.S. Democratic Congressman from Florida, called for changes to the definition and role of a broker within the infrastructure bill. It was approved by the Senate on November 15.
