Mizuho CEO to step down to take responsibility for system failures

TOKYO, Reuters – Tatsufumi Sukai, Chief Executive Officer of Mizuho Financial Group intends to resign to accept responsibility for a number system breakdowns in the past year. The business newspaper reported Thursday.

According to the Nikkei, discussions will begin with the banking group’s nominee committee in order to choose a new management team.

A spokesperson for Mizuho said that nothing had been resolved when asked.
